Answer to Question 1

According to conflict theorists, leaders of the industrialized nations viewed the population explosion in the Least Industrialized Nations as a force that could upset the balance of power they have achieved. They fear the poorer countries, with large populations, might demand a larger share of the earth's resources. To prevent this from occurring, they use the United Nations to lead global efforts to reduce world population growth.

Answer to Question 2

According to Marx, each ruling group sows the seeds of its own destruction with these seeds developing and overthrowing the power in force. As the new order takes power, it too sows the seeds of its own destruction and the process continues in a revolving cycle of change.
