Answer to Question 1

The recidivism rate is the percentage of former inmates who are rearrested. For violent offenders three years after their release from prison, two out of three (62 percent) are rearrested and about half (52 percent) are reincarcerated.

Answer to Question 2

Rates of at least eleven types of crimes committed by women have increased in percentage, nine in a double digit increase.
