A school nurse has called EMS because an 8-year-old girl has a fever and is dehydrated. Just after your arrival, the girl's parents arrive. They calmly inform you that they do not believe in Western medicine, and that they will take the girl home to treat her. The child has an altered mental status and appears to be in serious condition.
