A learning style is a preference, over time and across subjects, for perceiving, thinking about, and organizing information in a particular way. We refer to it as a preference because it is not a fixed mode of behavior. When necessary, people may adopt alternate styles, at least temporarily. Of course, some individuals are more flexible in their ability to switch styles than others.
