Girl-girl friendships tend to be more intense than boy-boy friendships, so girls are more likely to experience anxiety, jealousy, and conflict regarding same-sex relationships with peers.

Low-road transfer, or near transfer, occurs when knowledge of a previously learned skill can automatically be applied to the learning of a new skill, such as when knowledge of flute playing makes learning the piccolo seem effortless.
