Answer to Question 1

Both quantitative and qualitative proposals have an introduction, a discussion of the significance of the study, and review of literature. They both provide information on the sample to be included, but the qualitative proposal tells more about the site and the researcher's role. A qualitative proposal does not typically state a hypothesis or give as much specific information about procedures. The writing style is less formal and more personal than in a quantitative proposal.
