Answer to Question 1

D

Answer to Question 2

When the Bible addresses accountability, it is primarily from the perspective of accountability to God with respect to moral issues. In God's economy all are accountable. God is the Supreme example of what it means to be faithful over all that he owns. God holds himself accountable to his promises in the covenant. Humans are accountable to each other and to God. Humans will be judged compared with God's standard of truth, his perfect law. Accountability also plays a role in God's system of order and authority. Organizations run more smoothly when persons are in charge and are held accountable to each other for the common good. Subordinates are held accountable by their superiors; superiors are held accountable by everyone in the organization as well as some outside the organization. Accountability is an aspect of biblical love: the commitment to seek what is best for others in the community by restraining our own behavior. It is the only way that we can experience true freedom.
