Explanation: C) While Maslow did not believe individuals could regress to lower motivational levels, Alderfer did include regression in his ERG theory. Maslow's theory held that individuals must progress upward and cannot move to a higher level until the lower level needs were met, but research has shown that individuals can work toward higher needs without all lower needs met and individuals can regress to a lower need instead of only moving forward.
