 Tasks are uncertain
 Tasks are complex
 Tasks are large
 Input from multiple sources required
 Members have task and interaction skills
 Members are willing to devote effort to the group
 The team supports organizational goals
 The team has the resources and authority necessary to accomplish the task
 The team has a common purpose and specific goals
 The team has a sense of group efficacy

Answer to Question 2

Task process focuses on how groups accomplish their work, including setting agendas, figuring out time frames, generating ideas, choosing techniques for making decisions and solving problems, and testing agreement. Maintenance process concerns how groups function with regard to meeting group members' psychological and relationship needs, including issues such as leadership, membership, norms, communication, influence, conflict management, and dealing with difficult members and dysfunctional behaviors.
