Answer to Question 1

The Navigation Pane is an area on the left side of the Access 2013 that controls the display of database objects such as table objects, query objects, and so on. The Navigation Pane is the main tool for accessing the various objects in the database. Double-clicking on an object will open it in a tabbed document window. Right-Clicking on an object will display a shortcut menu associated with that object. The Navigation Pane can be hidden and restored using a button at the top of the Navigation Pane.
