Answer to Question 1

TRUE

Answer to Question 2

To speed up the configuration process, SAP produces and sells industry-specific platforms. An industry-specific platform is a preconfiguration platform that is appropriate for a particular industry, such as retail, manufacturing, or health care. All SAP implementations start with an SAP industry-specific platform and are further configured to a particular company.
A module is a distinct and logical grouping of processes. For example, SD, the Sales and Distribution module, is a collection of processes supervised by the marketing department. These processes record customer data, sales data, and pricing data. Not every module is implemented in every installation of SAP. Companies that install SAP choose modules for their implementation.
