After the go-live and stabilization phase there is the post production support phase. If this process is inadequate, the new system may still be considered to be a failure. It is necessary to manage the daily operations of the new system and validate how the system is being used. It may not be used correctly or efficiently and key metrics need to be in place to check whether the new system is adding value to the business as a whole. There will be a number of different tiers in the support process depending on the severity of the bugs that are found.
