Answer to Question 1

The stabilization process begins when the ERP system is in production, training has begun, and the conversion of critical data is done. So when the ERP system goes live, the organization has to shift to the stabilization process. This process usually takes from 60 to 90 days as the number of reported issues with the system steadily decreases. As these bugs arise they should be tracked all the way to resolution. It is normal for many issues with the new system to arise as users become used to the new system and processes. This is a critical period for the new system because users may get very frustrated with it and IT staff may be thoroughly exhausted as they try to run both the new and the old systems.

Answer to Question 2

TRUE
