Answer to Question 1

Whereas patterns consist of problem-solution pairs, an anti-pattern is a pair of two solutions: the first solution  the one that leads to failure  is called the problematic solution; the second is referred to as the refactored solution.
Functional decomposition is to break down the functionality of a system into successively smaller tasks and subtasks until we reach the most atomic functions. Functional decomposition is an example of anti- pattern; problematic solution and refactored solution are integral parts of decomposition. Functional decomposition is not advised in the object oriented system development.
