Answer to Question 1

1. Digitalization. As technological innovation accelerates, new business models
continue to emerge, disrupting the basis of competition in a market. Traditional printed and recorded media will increasingly be created and circulated in digital format as to the their respective traditional formats.
2. Globalization. Cheaper telecommunications costs and faster transportation logistics make it possible to companies to conduct cross border trade. Market dimension is no longer local but global. An organization could achieve significant considerable competitive advantages if it can reach far-reaching networks of partners for mutual benefits.
3. Deregulation. Under the auspices of the World Trade Organization (WTO), governmental influence on trade has diminished in many industries. Local monopolies are losing their market power. Thanks to IT and a deregulated market, geographically remote firms can impose anytime, anywhere presence, therefore forcing local businesses to revisit their strategy.
