Answer to Question 1

Ans: (c)

Answer to Question 2

Checksum checking (CC) works by computing a running total based on the byte values transmitted in a message block and then applying a calculation to compute the checksum value. A common technique is for checksum to add the decimal value of each byte in the message block to obtain a total. The total is then divided by 255. The remainder becomes the checksum value, which is attached to end of the message block being transmitted. The receiver also performs a checksum computation on the core message block received and compares its computed checksum with the checksum sent. If the two values are the same, the receiver assumes the transmission was error free. Checksum has a 99.6 percent probability of detecting errors in a transmission.

Although the Roman numeral for the number 4 has always been taught to have been "IV," according to historians, the ancient Romans probably used "IIII" most of the time. This is partially backed up by the fact that early grandfather clocks displayed IIII for the number 4 instead of IV. Early clockmakers apparently thought that the IIII balanced out the VIII (used for the number 8) on the clock face and that it just looked better.
