Answer to Question 1

An intranet is an internal TCP/IP network owned by a given organization. Intranets are used by staff within the business and are not meant for outside user access. This means that customers and vendors the business works with usually do not have access to the organization's intranets. The portion of the enterprise that a customer or vendor is given access to is called an extranet. An enterprise differs from both an intranet and extranet in that it is the collection of all of the networks owned by an organization, which may include any intranets and extranets.
