Stakeholders are interest groups who have a vested interest in health care resources. At some level, we
are all stakeholder in health care; however, some people are far more politically active about their
stake in health care. Many consumer groups represent the customers of the health care system.
Nursing and other health professionals are concerned about their profession and the services their
profession provides to its customers.
