Answer to Question 1

A
Being one of the original members of the Nurses Associated Alumnae of the United States and Canada (later known as the American Nurses Association)

Answer to Question 2

B
There are two ways to improve quality: eliminate defects in the work process and add features that better meet customers' needs or preferences. The customer is central to every process. Productive work involves work processes. Having a QI department will help in the oversight and identification of problems and serve as a guide for the process. Employing only RN staff does not guarantee quality work processes.
