In team nursing and modular nursing, the RN is able to get the work done through others, but patients sometimes receive fragmented, depersonalized care. Communication in these models is complex and problematic. There is shared responsibility and accountability which can cause confusion and lack of accountability. These factors may also contribute to RN dissatisfaction.
