Answer to Question 1

1, 4, 5
Explanation: 1. Low wages are not always the sole reason for job dissatisfaction. Low wages and high client
acuities and ratios may cause a nurse to seek unionization. Supervisors and managers working
and assisting as staff would improve nurse/management relations and assist with
communication. Supervisors who assume they know what the issues are concerning the staff
and those who have an authoritative management style do not allow for a trustworthy work
environment.

Answer to Question 2

3
Explanation: 1. Closed shop is a business in which union membership is a precondition of employment.
Discussions regarding collective bargaining are not allowed on company time or site.
