A nurse consultant reviews the nursing administrations appraisal policies. The consultant notes the annual appraisal focuses on general performance.
 
  The consultant informs the CNO (chief nurse officer) this type of evaluation does not allow for: 1. Performance related to the job description.
  2. Personality issues.
  3. The nurses ability to deal with stress.
  4. Input from peers.

but it is ultimately the evaluators assessment that is important.
