Answer to Question 1

2, 3, 5
Explanation: 1. The team leader should arrange to meet in a convenient but quiet place to minimize
interruptions and distractions. Every member should know his or her responsibilities for
completion prior to the meeting by having an agenda in hand about 1 week prior to the
meeting. The meeting should start promptly when scheduled, even if some members have not
arrived. It should start and end on time. Everyone, not just key players, should be
encouraged to discuss issues during the meeting. Meetings are for idea generation and not for
idea evaluation. Evaluation comes when members have had time to reflect on each idea and
decide on the advantages and disadvantages of each.

Answer to Question 2

2
Explanation: 1. The task force leader must first and most importantly identify and understand the objectives
for the group to accomplish. Only then should the team leader determine when the assignment
must be completed. Members of the working group should not only be chosen based on their
interest, but also their skills, knowledge, and time availability. As the task force work begins, it
is then important to frequently report to those initiating the task force.
