Question 2

A teacher who works with an at-risk population read findings from the Assessment Reform Group discussing 5 key factors that should be included in assessment practices to improve student outcomes. She decides to try to implement them in her classroom. She begins by providing feedback to her students, and adjusting her teaching depending upon the results of assessments she gives. She has also decided to encourage students to assess themselves and help them understand how to improve. Through this she has also realized that assessment has an influence on motivation and self-esteem which can influence learning, and so she is consciously aware of this now.
