Answer to Question 1

Correct Answer: 1

The Canadian Nurses Association offers a certification program that provides a clinical credential in a number of clinical specialties. Eligibility for certification is based on experience in the specialty or a combination of experience and postbasic education. It does not offer specialty certification in public health, research, or nurse practitioner practice.

Answer to Question 2

Certifications available through the American Nurses Credentialing Center are available for nurse practitioners and clinical nurse specialists. The ANCC does not have certifications for nurses with associate degrees, diplomas, or baccalaureate degrees.
