Answer to Question 1

Correct Answer: 1

Even though conflict management techniques have been used, groups often have difficulty letting go of the conflict, particularly if the conflict has been a major source of discussion between team members. There is no indication that bargaining makes the outcome unpredictable, that these groups should go back through the process, or that the problem was not amenable to conflict management techniques. In most cases, the groups should be allowed to work through the letting-go process to see whether the situation improves.

Answer to Question 2

Correct Answer: 3

Political action in any sphere is best carried out in a group. Groups often foster creative thinking and planning. There is no assurance that working in a group will require less individual time. It is often those with the deepest feelings about an issue that are dedicated enough to get changes made.
