Why is it important for some families to construct a genogram? The genogram:
 
  1. Allows nurses to diagnose disease patterns
  2. Brings the family together to do a mutual task
  3. Shows family history and patterns of health-related information
  4. Provides a visual diagram of the family unit in relation to other subsystems
