Infections caused by bacteria can be treated and usually cured with antibiotics, but those caused by viruses cannot be cured this way. Chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilisall bacterialand trichomoniasisparas itic are easily treated with antibiotics and cured if diagnosed early. Human papillomavirus and herpes simplex are viral infections that are not treatable.
