The determination of sample members by finding members who meet certain criteria required of the population describes quota sampling.
Pulling and adequate number of names of all possible subjects out of a hat is an example of simple random sample.
Asking readily available, agreeable subjects who meet the criteria to participate in the study if a form of convenience sampling.
