Differences between stimulus generalization, response maintenance, and response
generalization:
Stimulus generalization occurs when a response reinforced in the presence of a discriminative stimulus occurs in the presence of a different but similar stimulus. Response maintenance occurs when a response continues to be emitted in the presence of the discriminative stimulus over time. Response generalization occurs when a change in one behavior results in changes in similar behaviors.
