Answer to Question 2

With planned ignoring the practitioner removes social reinforcers contingent on the occurrence of a target behavior. If social reinforcers do not maintain the behavior, or if the practitioner cannot control the reinforcers the procedure will not be successful. In addition, if the behavior is maintained by the attention of others special procedures will need to be put in place to ensure that the behavior is not reinforced.
