An ideal response will:
1, Explain the benefits of the Internet as a source of information, all of which help to create a more informed population, specifically noting the availability of increased amounts of information and increased connections and mobilization among citizens through the use of social media sites.
2, Discuss some of the potential dangersfor example, more information does not necessarily mean good information, information overload (having too much information to process), and a focus on sensationalist information over news.
3, Discuss whether this trend is welcomed by the respondent, using the above points to substantiate the opinion.
