1. Explain that Americans generally lack adequate information for making informed public opinions about political tensions in Southeast Asia. Note that Americans are best equipped to give responses about domestic issues that affect them personally.
2. Discuss the significance of problems with lack of information for public opinion pollsters and the significance of screening procedures to help reduce these problems.
