It focuses on understanding other groups of people through culture, it gives us unique insight in the plasticity of human nature, and it focuses on creating new and useful ways of thinking about culture.

Answer to Question 2

Because of globalization, anthropologists are finding that the populations with whom they are working are facing increasing threats from disease, corporations, governments, and even tourists.
