Answer to Question 1

B
Feedback:
Hypertension is disproportionately high among Native Americans. This is not noted to be the case among Jewish Americans, prisoners, or Americans of Chinese ancestry.

Answer to Question 2

C
Feedback:
Building a knowledge base around cultural groups is a component of culturally sensitive care. Differentiating between minorities and Americans is an inaccurate dichotomy and it is inaccurate to generalize that all minorities are reticent to express pain. It would be inappropriate to counter an older adult's perception of the cause of illness when it is culturally rooted.
