Answer to Question 1

D
Postherpetic neuralgia tends to persist in the dermatome of a spinal nerve. For example, posther-petic neuralgia of C8 (the 8th cervical spinal nerve) should cause burning, itching, or stinging pain along the back of one arm, through the elbow, and down to the smallest finger on the side of the same hand. Persistent pain does not occur along a well-defined path. Osteoarthritic pain is usually persistent but seldom occurs along a well-defined path; the pain is usually localized. Postoperative pain is acute pain that occurs in the area of the surgical procedure and incision.

Although the Roman numeral for the number 4 has always been taught to have been "IV," according to historians, the ancient Romans probably used "IIII" most of the time. This is partially backed up by the fact that early grandfather clocks displayed IIII for the number 4 instead of IV. Early clockmakers apparently thought that the IIII balanced out the VIII (used for the number 8) on the clock face and that it just looked better.
