A plan for alternatives or correcting the problem is developed to support the functional ability of the older person. Responses B, C, and D are incorrect. After an environmental assessment of poor housekeeping skills that threaten safety, the older adult may have to have durable power of attorney designated and possibly be admitted to a nursing facility. The goal of the environmental assessment is to support independent function.
