Drugs such as oral contraceptives, hormone replacement, antihypertensives, antidepressants, or sedatives can cause a sexual arousal disorder as a side effect. In women this can manifest as fe-male sexual dysfunction (FSD), and in men it can manifest as erectile dysfunction (ED).

Skin color is not a good indicator of pallor because of varying pigmentation. Oral mucous mem-branes, as well as conjunctivae and nail beds, are better indicators. The other options are not re-lated to symptoms.
