Answer to Question 1

Orders of relief classify landscapes by scale, from vast oceans and continents to local landforms. First order of relief is the broadest scale and includes ocean basins and continents. The second order of relief is intermedial. A second order of relief will include mountain masses, plains, and lowlands. For instance, the Alps, Rockies, and Tibetan Plateau are all second order of relief. The third order of relief includes individual landforms, such as a mountain, hill cliff, or valley.
