Answer to Question 1

The major exoogenic cycle is the hydrologic cycle, but can also include weathering, erosion, transporation, and deposition. The endogenic processes are the tectonic and rock cycles.

Answer to Question 2

As seafloor spreads, magma emerges at the surface and magnetic particles in the lava orient with the magnetic field in force at the time. Over time, a magnetic record is preserve in the seafloor. Using isotopic methods, a chronology of these reversals can be established.
