Answer to Question 1

C

Answer to Question 2

The nebular hypothesis describes the formation of the solar system from a rotating cloud of space dust and gases (a nebula). Due to gravitational forces, the cloud began collapsing in and dust particles started colliding together to form planetesimals. Planetesimals collided into each other, forming protoplanets, and eventually repeated accretions and collisions grew these protoplanets into the planets of the solar system.
