In many instances, the negative consequences of globalization have been cited as the reason for terrorists to attack the source of the policies. As a result, terrorism is often decentralized but can have devastating effects, as evidenced by the terrorist attacks in the U.S. on September 11, 2011, and by the other countries as well.
