Benefits of home-school communication include higher long-term achievement, greater willingness to do homework, more positive attitudes and behaviors, better attendance and graduation rates, higher levels of responsibility and self-regulation, and increased enrollment in postsecondary education. Each of these benefits result from parents' taking an active part in their child's education.
