  If you own a pet, finding an apartment to rent can be difficult. Landlords have many reasons for not wanting to rent to pet owners. First of all, pets can do a lot of damage to a property, such as soiling carpets, scratching up doors, and bringing in fleas. In addition, pets can be annoying to other people in the apartment complex. For example, dogs left alone can bark, and two or more cats in one apartment can create quite a ruckus when cat fights erupt.
