What is the significance of foliation in a metamorphic rock? (Not what is foliation, but what does it

Foliation indicates that the rock was metamorphosed under conditions of differential pressures

Answer to Question 2

Slate, phyllite, schist, gneiss, amphibolite, migmatite.
