The water table undulates with the ground surface. It is low where the ground surface is high and high where the ground surface is low.
 
  Indicate whether this statement is true or false.

Question 2

A dam is constructed on the Crymea River. Explain how this will affect the river and the work that the river performs both upstream as well as downstream.

Answer to Question 2

Answer: A reservoir will form upstream, which will create a temporary base level for the upstream segment. This will result in a lower velocity and, by extension, deposition. Downstream, water is being released from the dam at a high velocity, which will increase erosion.
