Which of the following substances is not a mineral: gold, water, ice? Why?

If concrete is made by mixing cement with gravels and sands, is concrete a rock? Why or why not?

Answer to Question 1

Answer: Water is not a mineral because it is not solid.

Answer to Question 2

Answer: Although cement is mixed with aggregate gravels and sands to make concrete, the process itself is a human-made process and therefore the result is not a rock.
