Answer to Question 1

Wave height and wavelength are both used to describe the size of a wave. The vertical difference between an adjacent crest and trough of a wave is the wave height. The distance between two successive crests or troughs is the wavelength.

Answer to Question 2

Erosion of the shoreline near A means that homes are much closer to the shoreline than they were in the past, which makes them more vulnerable to wave erosion during storms. The beach has gotten wider near B, which means homes are now farther from the shoreline and less vulnerable to damage during storms.
