Answer to Question 1

ANS: B
C.O.O/(CO CO)x 10

Answer to Question 2

ANS: D
The balloon must be inflated as soon as it enters the intrathoracic vessel so that the catheter may be flow-directed by the balloon through the blood into the right atrium, right ventricle, and pul-monary artery. The inflation of the balloon also protects the heart from endocardial and pulmo-nary artery damage and ventricular arrhythmias.
