Answer to Question 1

Answer to Question 2

Suggested Response: To help these students acclimate, I will create caring relationships. This involves getting to know my students as individuals and learning what they like, their interests, their hobbies, and their extracurricular activities. It also involves showing respect for diversity by appreciating the abilities of each student and providing opportunities for demonstration of unique talents and skills. This year, I will continue to be professional, but I will be authentic with students. Last year, I felt uncomfortable telling students anything about myself. This year I have a solid sense of what I can share about myself without being unprofessional. This year I will set up a suggestion box in my classroom. I want students to have an opportunity to make anonymous suggestions about the classroom and the teaching that will help them learn.
